what is emellow, and who's mellie?

emellow is the AI personal assistant for parents. mellie is the friendly face of it — the one who reads through the school, camp, and activity emails piling up in your inbox and pulls out what actually needs you. to-dos, events, and the "what to bring" details buried in paragraph four. built by parents, for parents.

how does mellie connect to my inbox?

You connect your email in a couple of clicks using Google sign-in (OAuth). mellie reads what comes in so she can surface the to-dos, dates, and what-to-bring lists, then hands them to you sorted and clear. You can disconnect any time.

is my email safe?

Yes. mellie only looks at your email to find the things that need you — the signup deadline, the field-trip form, the snack you're on the hook for. Her access is read-only, your inbox isn't shared or sold, and you stay in control of the connection. Read exactly how we handle your data on our privacy page.

what does "what to bring" mean?

It's the detail that hides at the bottom of a long email and derails your morning — the labeled water bottle, the red shirt for picture day, the permission slip due Thursday, the twelve cupcakes for the class party. mellie surfaces those and puts them in front of you in time to actually pack them. Right now mellie connects with Gmail and Google Workspace accounts through Google sign-in. More providers are on the way — if yours isn't supported yet, email hello@emellow.io and we'll add you to the list so we can tell you the moment it's ready.

how do I delete my account and my data?

You can delete your account from inside the app, in your account settings. That disconnects your inbox and removes your data. Prefer we handle it for you?
